I have another nail art idea for you all today. Once again, this is super simple, just like my flower dotticure I posted the other day. You can create this look with any colors to get different effects. I created this look because I had just gotten one of the China Glaze Sea Goddess Collection glitters and was dying to use it in a tutorial. I chose to use “Sand Dolla Make You Holla” because, obviously, the name is awesome, but also because of the rainbow of glitter in it. This gave me more options for accent colors.
I started by painting my nails with Essie’s “first timer”, which is an awesome cool creamy green color. I then took “Sand Dolla Make You Holla” and painted a thick stripe down the middle of each nail. No special brush necessary, I just used the brush that came in the bottle. Once I had the desired opacity, I made a row of dots on either side of the stripe by alternating Essie’s “naughty nautical” and “jamaican me crazy”. I finished with a topcoat, which unfortunately turned “Sand Dolla” yellow on some of my nails… oh well. It’s still really cute!
Hope you guys like it! I would love to see this done in plain black and white, neon, or all glitter. To me, the best part of simple designs like this is how you can reuse them over and over by just switching up the color scheme!
